Byron Wilson  played basketball for the University of Utah under coach Rick Majerus from 1989-1993 and was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 1993. He played one year in the CBA (Continental Basketball Association). Following that, he spent 18 years overseas, playing professional basketball in Argentina, Spain, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and Chile. During that time he operated and worked basketball camps, training kids from ages five to adult in how to dribble, shoot, pass, make layups, and in general knowledge of the game. He also coached professional players, including his own teammates who wanted to learn how to score in certain situations.

When he retired from playing professional basketball, Byron started training kids in the Salt Lake area, and has been doing that for about five years. He also operates skill development camps and started an AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball program, the Salt Lake Legends, where he coaches kids ages nine through 18. Because of his overseas experience, he is fluent in Spanish and able to help young players for whom English is not their language at home. His goal is to better the skills of young players in both basketball and life.
