Teaching Children Essential Skills to Overcome Life’s Obstacles
BWil Sports Group’s vision is to support community youth through access to organized sports, training, and education. We seek to build lives of character and confidence by teaching goal-setting, a strong work ethic and teamwork, and offering educational support. We are building confident student athletes for life.
Our Mission & Vision.
Our Goals
Our first goal is to build a sports center with four basketball courts and a tutoring center with at least two classrooms.
Once the facility is ready, we will be able to support a large number of basketball teams with camps, tournaments, and private training. We will then be in a position where we can rent our gym space to other basketball and volleyball programs.
In our own program, we will provide team training plus the option for participants to drop by and use gym space and training equipment to work on their game. We will have tutoring to support student athletes, and program scholarships for participants who qualify for financial assistance.
Our Motivation
The demand for sports team training in our community is high, but appropriate training space is unavailable and athletes from less-privileged circumstances are underserved. We are working to provide both the facilities and the opportunities.
Finding a consistent, affordable location for practice, training, and basketball camps is difficult for teams. Renting gym space at a dedicated facility is expensive, and other options are complicated. Availability is a problem with shared gym spaces, made more difficult with the need for additional teams.
Even with available training space, not all families can afford the costs of training, participating in camps, and playing with organized teams. Educational success can be equally challenging for lower-income, at-risk, underprivileged student athletes who would benefit from tutoring.
We believe that with support from the community, these young people can have both training opportunities and educational support. They can gain confidence as they learn and work toward goals together, developing character traits to empower them for life.
